Avenir 72-37-206 Review: Avenir Universal XL Rear Rack (Black, Universal). I needed a rack to mount panniers and picked this one more or less by guess. It is easy to mount (at least on my Trek hybrid) with clear directions. The side braces permit mounting the panniers rearward sufficiently to avoid heel contact with the bags. I loaded the panniers rather heavily, but the rack did not suffer. The matte black finish survived a rather gravelly, gritty five day ride without scratches. Pretty good product. Buy it.10 of 11 .
